Information and Training

• American Express Mundo Maya Program: Developed with the support of the American Express Foundation, it includes a tourism-training program that to date has conducted 48 courses and provided training to more than 1,200 individuals.

• Mundo Maya Tourism Education Card: Focused on creating awareness of the Maya culture for children ages 10-12.

• US National Park Service: A five-year technical assistance agreement with the Department of the Interior through the National Park Service. This program provides training for the MMO and park rangers for the maintenance, protection and interpretation of archeological sites.
